To me, blogging originated as a sort of online journal for people to write about their private life, their views on the world, and their views about others. As the internet developed and blogging got more popular, it now has a much larger variety of purposes. People use it to advertise their businesses, talk about issues outside of the personal life such as politics, businesses, advances in technology, etc. Many blogs are even used as news articles and opinions. Blogging is a great form of modern communication and will continue to develop and be engrained in our future lifestyles.
